Really great jars for my purpose, and I don't really care about the lids, though the knobs should be contoured for a better grip. The only real problem with the order was that the shipping was done in the anchor-hocking box with no extra shock absorber. The box showed no damage but must have landed on the top at some point, and the extremely sturdy lid knob whacked the rest of the lid, which shattered. I have other lids that I like better if I ever decide to actually store something in the jars instead of using them as greenhouse domes over potted plants. Just saying.I was very impressed by the size of the jars for the price you get to. Perfect for laundry room storage. I put my scent boosters and my pods in the fits perfectGood value for containers and for items in packs or bags like individual candy or cookies. These do not seal airtight so be aware of that. Glass is clear and bright compared to some cheaper jars.Okay. This baby is HUGE! but it says so in the description. It's also heavy. When I first unpacked it (it was very well packaged, by the way), I thought 'OMG! What have I done?' Turns out, it's perfect. My husband is diabetic and I make him special cookies that he can eat without raising his blood sugar. Two batches fills this jar to the top and makes him very happy. :) It's fun because I can dress it up for holidays by adding a colored ribbon around the rim of the jar or fancy pick. I've had no trouble with washing it in the sink. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a large cookie jar and would buy it again myself.The glass had visible imperfections. And the tops were not perfectly round and had some flat spots. If I had seen in person would not have bought but I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning glass.These are the perfect size for laundry pods or scent boosters to spiff up the laundry room! Had them on top of my dryer but rattled so if it had some kind of seal around it would be better. Ended up buying a small stand to place them on instead.Excellent quality, look nice. Better than I expected for the price. The only thing I would change, I wish they had a rubber seal. Short of that, they are perfect.Wish it had a seal for freshnessJust had to have one of these jars after seeing them on Ina Garten's tv show. Looked really lovely in her kitchen and this looks equally lovely in mine.Really easy to use my cup measures for flour now and I intend to perhaps get the smaller sized ones for sugar.Beautifully made but you have to respect the fact that it is glass and should not be handled lightly.Smooth edges all round the top and lid and I am really delighted with my purchase.Super fast delivery and it was well packaged. A box wrapped in bubblewrap inside a bigger box.It is a large jar and it took a large 3Kg bag of flour plus another two 1Kg bags so 5Kg in total. That filled the jar to below the rim.Recemmended highly.the lid arrived with a big chip out of it.no suction on lids to keep food fresh.dissapointed that the lid is just laid on top. wont keep anything fresh.postage very expensive to get them.i would give them a 5 star rating if the lid screwed on or had a suction lid on it.or even a rubber band to screw it on.but i love the size of the jars.Love the jar but disappointed that there is no seal to securely keep the lid on.I am terrible at size guessing. I have one of these for the laundry soap and it's clearly NOT 8L....I bought this one for tea. TEA. So, I had to fit a jar onto the kitchen counter that you could probably store 3 cats in. And the really amazing part is that hubby hasn't even noticed it. I mean, it's HUGE.This item is huge, which is what I wanted, however, as other reviewers have stated it does not come with a rubber seal so the glass lid just sits on the glass jar. I though this wouldn't be too much of an issue. Thinking the size of the jar is large and so the lid may be heavy enough to make it somewhat air tight. This is not quite the case as the lid isn't very heavy at all. I have used cling film around the edge of the jar to soften the opening and closing of it.
