Love this funnel. It's to clean by hand and dishwasher safe if necessary. The logo wiped right off when I cleaned it before the first use (must have been silk-screened on) but no bother. We use this for filling ziplock baggies with pre-measured ingredients to set aside for hummingbird nectar (we make a batch every week or two so I set them up in advance for the season so I don't have to dig out of utensils, etc, every time) and pastry crusts. It's also great for pouring the nectar in large mouth nalgene bottles that we store in the fridge.Advantages of this funnel over other plastic ones:-metal is thinner, so you can fit the neck into smaller diameter openings. I have 9 oz hex jars that aren't compatible with my other plastic canning funnels because their openings are slightly smaller than that of the standard Ball/Kerr jar.-The neck only extends down a fraction of an inch. With the typical headspace, this means that the bottom does not drag in whatever substance you're canning, so you're less likely to transfer stuff onto the rim of the next clean jar.I bought this to fit inside powdered coffee cream plastic containers. Seems like the all of the other ones on Amazon are 2.25" (outside Diameter of stem at bottom). This is about a 1/4 smaller (outside stem diameter) and fits perfectly. Sturdy, and low profile so it stores easily in my kitchen drawer. I do not see the logo on the side, but all the same to me.Definitely would buy again if needed.I've been searching for a stainless steel funnel that is narrow enough to fit inside the opening of my wide mouth hydro flask & kleen kanteen stainless steel bottles. This fits the bill perfectly! Nice quality, shiny, smooth stainless. Now I can use my hydro flask & kleen kanteen for more than just fluids! Chunky soups, stir fry, mashed potatoes, etc. Way easier than trying to fill it one spoon full at a time.I do not like the Kilner Stainless Steel Funnel at all. The neck is way too short and when filling jars can be accidentally hit and the funnel falls out of the jar. There are other stainless steel funnels with longer necks, but all of them have loop handles, which do not allow placing graduated sizes inside each other for storage. I am looking for a regular mouth, seamless funnel (no seaming to attach the neck to the bowl) and with a tab handle like the RSVP wide mouth funnel. If anyone reads this and knows where I can find one, please let me know.The best that there is out there... I have had mine for over 10 years.... and recently bought one for my daughter and my sister.... these are a MUST have if you cook, ferment & can!! I use it several times a week- and every time I use it- I say to myself -- "This is one of my best purchases EVER"!!!!!This fits beautifully in the top of the my weck jars. The wide top prevents any overflow. It's well made of stainless. It should last a lifetime.This is my go to funnel for filling jars. Use it so much I bought a second one.This is not cheap for what it is but an absolutely invaluable aid in the kitchen - especially if you make your own sauces, etc. Makes transferring dry or liquid ingredients into a wide mouthed jar so much easier.Seems to be made from good quality stainless steel as it has not shown any signs of staining or rust after well over two years of frequent use - we make our own tomato purée and other things from our garden harvest, so it gets used often and then washed in a dishwasher.TBH I bought this is a syphon for my bird food - and it works brilliantly! Every time I went to fill up the birds feeder, half of the seed would end up on the floor. Tried funnels, but the seeds got stuck half way down the nozzle so then you have to put down the large heavy bag of bird food, stuff the funnel with a stick to get in unstuck, and keep repeating. This was a lot of money, but it does the job, its a quality item and I am sure I will use if for its original purpose at some point!Why scent? Ok kit nice shiny finish, good price, yes go for it, no regrets.. remarks about sturdiness? Yes it should last longer than me, "see me out" as dear old dad would have said.Also it has the Kilner name on it, so status is good, like M&S carrier bags.Good overall product. Does what it is supposed to do, but the edge around the lower rim is a bit sharp edged and one migjt cut himself while cleaning, if not careful.Bit overall worth the money. Would have just expected a bit more from a brand nameThis funnel is great for getting jam from the pan into jars and as I use Kilner jars ,it fitted very well and didn't tip up at all. It was very easy to clean. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
