Very light! Good materialI bought these dishes to add to my set I have had for several years. I just love them!This dinnerware set is perfect for everyday. I have had it over a month and use it as my everyday dishes. They wash well in the dishwasher or by hand. I like that they aren't thick like stoneware, but are very sturdy and built for everyday use. They are extremely durable and look fantastic! We ordered 2 settings for 4. Pleasantly surprised but should know as Mikasa makes fantastic bone China!I ordered two sets of the Loria. Well, these dishes are beautiful, I will say that. However, when I opened the boxes, several of the dishes were dirty (as shown in pics) and had rough ‘bubbles’ on the bottoms of bowls. I will reach out to seller and update accordingly.I like the dinnerware set except; that they are very thin. I do not know if the plates are durable until I use them for a couple of months. I may throw one of the cups on the floor to see if they are accidents resistant. I was hoping that they were a little heavier. I do like them though, I just do not like the cups. I may reorder more pieces without the cups, if possible.The china is lightweight and quite lovely. The beaded border is just enough to give it character. Love it! Just wish I could buy 4 more dinner plates separately.Really like this productI purchased the Mikasa 5224193 Ciara 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 on sale for an outstanding price. After a lot of research, I decided to get the Mikasa set because I read that bone china was stronger and lighter weight than porcelain dinnerware.These dishes did not disappoint. They are beautiful, strong, lightweight, and thinner than porcelain. I had been using Corelle, but I am giving them to charity because while they do not break often when a Corelle dish does break, it smashes into a kazillion pieces of sharp pointy shards. I was worried one of, my 2 cats would get their paws cut on a shard.My only regret is that I did not purchase 2 sets when it was on sale. Even the regular price on amazon is very good at the time I am writing this. I might have to order a 2nd set.This dinnerware is good but before you buy it you better check the price elsewhere. After a month i found the same one sold at costco for 69.99$ %$?%&&$$The plates look great and it was packaged very well. On product alone, 4 or 5 stars. However I'm docking marks because one of the four dinner plates came with chips and scrapes. It was packaged well so it seems the damage was from before packaging and shipping.I admit... this dinner ware looks amazing and pretty much goes with anything (I love all things classic) but I worried that it would chip or break easily as it feels super light BUT it has not!! Been through the dishwasher in our house at least twice a week and still no scuff or scratches and looks new :)
